

Women in Sports, which is powered by First Abu Dhabi Bank Misr (FABMISR), is a program committed to empowering aspiring young female athletes in Egypt. A panel of experts will carefully select 10 female athletes who exhibit outstanding talent and promise to provide them with financial and mental aid to help them build their sports capabilities. These chosen athletes will not only receive financial support from FABMISR but will also be enrolled in tailored programs focusing on emotional wellbeing and mental coaching.





We will be selecting 10 female athletes every year who have portrayed excellence in their sport and will be supporting them with a scholarship and training program.
Age between 14 And 20 years old
Program is open to Egyptian Nationals

Aya Madany
Aya Medany, a former Egyptian Modern Pentathlon athlete, competed in three consecutive Olympic Games, making her debut at just 15. Despite challenges, Aya triumphed in the 2011 World Cup event in Budapest and secured a spot in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Beyond sports, Aya is dedicated to promoting peace and holds positions in the International Olympic Committee, the Egyptian Parliament, and the National Olympic Committee. Aya's remarkable journey embodies resilience and achievement.

Sharif El-Erian
Sharif El-Erian, a sports luminary, currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, President of Modern Pentathlon in Egypt, and Head of Sports at the American University in Cairo. His influence extends globally as Vice President of UIPM and President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation. Eng. Sharif, a champion in Modern Pentathlon, Fencing, and Shooting, competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. His upcoming discussion will highlight Egypt's role in supporting athletic champs. He continues to lead as Secretary General of the Egyptian NOC and President of the Egyptian Olympians Association.

Tamer Yousri
Tamer brings over 10 years of experience in the sports industry and holds a master's degree in sports management from IE Business School in Madrid. He founded TimeOut Sports and Entertainment, a leading sports marketing and management agency in the MENA region. Previously, Tamer served as the CEO of Media Pro Egypt and leads the sports marketing and sponsorship module of the FIFA/CIES/CU program.

Mariam El Samny
Mariam, is Head of Consumer Banking at FABMISR. With over 25 years of international banking experience, Mariam is a transformational leader. She has spearheaded market expansions, led technological overhauls, and created customer-centric processes. Mariam's vast expertise includes pivotal roles at Bank Audi and Dunia Finance, where she initiated business transformations in various global markets. Her contributions were acknowledged with the 'Women Achievement Award' at the World Women Leadership Congress in India. Mariam holds dual MBA degrees from the University of Chicago and the American University in Cairo.
